According to a grapevine the HST is arriving today and may be in service "next week". No promises!

I presume Hull Drivers have been trained on HSTs or have other Drivers been brought in?

Hull Trains drivers were being trained out of Paddington but there were reports that it hadn’t gone well. A bit of difference between a 170/222/180 and an HST! Let’s hope those reports were wrong

UK Rail Forum today:
They can’t even get one set over there... Set was due to move to Bristol yesterday, but curtailed at Laira due to an AWS fault on 43165. Onward move to Hull today cancelled.
