BETWEEN LANGLEY GREEN AND STOURBRIDGE NORTH JUNCTION
FROM 0500 HOURS WEDNESDAY 26 OCTOBER 2016
TO 2300 HOURS SUNDAY 06 NOVEMBER 2016
During the Bromsgrove Blockade which takes place between Wednesday 26 October and Monday 07 November 2016, certain trains will require banking between Stourbridge North Junction and Langley Green Up Road End Goods Loop.
Because of the intensity of daytime services over the diversionary route via Stourbridge it is not practical to attach the banker at
Stourbridge because of the shunt moves required due to loop length constraints. Therefore the banking locomotive will be attached
at Worcester Shrub Hill on the Down Through Siding and the affected train will operate with a locomotive at each end. The rear
locomotive is authorised to apply power, as directed by the lead driver, to assist as required in the negotiation of the incline on the
line between Lye and Rowley Regis. In this case both locomotives must be manned as per Train Company manning agreements and equipped with back to back radios.
