The Railway Magazine reports the introduction of a class 755 bi-mode unit on the class 37/coaches diagram starting with the 0747 ex Lowestoft from the 29th July.

I gather the 755 is working I saw it on Aug 2 on 10.36 Norwich to Yarmouth when on my way to Darlington for a ECML bash. But on Anglia Gen it seems that the 37 short set is still being used on the diagram as well. I presume this is known but the 755s are too heavy with a full load of fuel for branch lines and Norwich to Cambridge. This means that they cannot work a full day of diagrams so they will all have to all come back to Crown Point during the day for fuel. The local diagrams even though still 156/153 are diagrammed to return to Crown point during the day. Ipswich units work either ecs to Norwich or via East Suffolk Line with crews changing units in Lowestoft. This is only a rough guide to whats going on.

A discussion group member advises that he has travelled on a unit between Norwich and Cambridge.
