From May 4 to August 19, the railway will undergo a series of closures to allow engineers to double the track between Dyce and Inverurie, carry-out bridge upgrades and deliver signalling enhancements. Trains continue to run between Aberdeen and Dyce apart from August.

I did a return trip last week. Between Inverurie and Aberdeen there is considerable evidence of work under way with second track partly laid esp south of Dyce on up side. But much to do esp where existing single line meanders across the formation.

A few bridges and crossings have been cssualties of the re-doubling, will email IU with the details.
