Mexican Distance Post. In Great Britain the highest numbered Milepost is 326½ at Penzance. However, in other countries much higher numbers can be noted. Post 839, admittedly in kilometres, is at El Fuerte on the Chihuahua al Pacifico line in Mexico and is the distance from the US- Mexican border. This route is one of the few in Mexico still to have a passenger service, mainly for tourists visiting the Copper Canyon area.
